From 1 January 2017. rates of the minimum wage of the employee at the full-time will be in the amount 2.000 PLN. This follows from the decree of the Council of Ministers of 9 September 2016. on the minimum wage for the work in 2017. (Journal of laws POS. 1456).
This amount of minimum wage will concern all employees working in full-time, also those who are engaged in professional activities, only first year. From 1 January 2017 will no longer oblige the law of the minimum wage for the employee's wages during his first year (80% of the minimum wage).
A significant change from 1 January 2017 will determine the minimum wage and will appear the duty to eliminate wage supplements for work at night. This Supplement for nuisance night work will be added to the minimum wage and won’t be a part of it.
Raising the minimum wage entails an increase in the number of other benefits based on it. For example, amount of registration of applications for dismissal on the basis of the so-called law on collective dismissal may not exceed 15 minimum wage. In 2017 it will amount 30.000 PLN. Allowances for night work will be determined based on the minimum wage, 20% of this amount. For example, in January 2017 will be 168 working hours, the Supplement will amount 2.38 PLN, PLN 2.000: 168 h = 11,90 PLN per hour; 11,90 PLN. × 20% = 2,38 PLN, for an additional hour of work at night. In addition, such benefits as liquidated damages and compensation for harassment and discrimination, which may not be less than the minimum wage applicable in the current year, in 2017 will be not less than 2.000 PLN
